Potawatomi Casino to Introduce Roulette Progressive, First in Wisconsin
The Potawatomi Hotel & Casino became the first casino in Wisconsin where players can play a roulette progressive. This new game is mostly similar to the traditional version, except that it allows players to make an additional wager of $5, which gives a chance to hit a huge jackpot.
The minimum jackpot size is $10,000, and to start chasing it a player just needs to place an additional $5 bet on the sensor. After that the bets are locked by the dealer and the game is played as normal. Then two random numbers are generated and if the winning number is the target, this will trigger the Bonus Spin, a new feature of the traditional game.
During the Bonus Spin two wheels are being spinned, starting from the smaller one that is guaranteed to bring $35-$125 for ones who hit the target and have placed a bet of $5. One of these lucky players is chosen randomly to participate in a bigger wheel spin, which may result in a big win varying from $150 to the progressive jackpot amount ($10,000 at least) — in case they land on the three diamonds.
It is worth adding that at the end of 2022, the Potawatomi Casino announced that bingo would be returned to the venue after more than two years. Bingo had been offered to casino visitors for more than 30 years before a long-term pause started in 2020. However, the property returned this popular game at New Year’s time with regular sessions starting on January 4 and running Wednesdays through Sundays.
It should be reminded that in May the casino provided an update on the $100m renovation of its third floor. The expansion, which covers over 120,000 square feet, is expected to be completed by spring 2023. The plans also involve the construction of a permanent sportsbook.
